Hyderabad residents urge GHMC to address dangerous potholes in Nallagandla

Hyderabad: Residents and commuters in Nallagandla HUDA are urging the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to promptly address the dangerous state of the roads adjacent to Sadhana School. The area, which is heavily used by schoolchildren, parents, auto drivers, school buses, and local residents, is riddled with numerous potholes, creating substantial safety hazards.

While speaking with the Hyderabad Mail, Srikanth Reddy, a concerned resident of Nallagandla, highlighted a pressing issue. “The road beside Sadhana School has many potholes and is used by a diverse group of people, including children and school buses. The current condition of the road is extremely risky,” he said. Srikanth noted the inconvenience experienced by school buses and schoolchildren, highlighting that the situation is unsafe for everyone traveling on these roads.

Srikanth reported the problem on X formerly known as Twitter, tagging relevant GHMC officials. Despite receiving assurances from the officials that the potholes would be filled, no work has been completed as of yet. “I request the GHMC authorities to address this issue with at least a temporary fix to ensure the safety of the schoolchildren and prevent any potential accidents,” he added.

“Besides the issues near Sadhana School, Srikanth pointed out a large and dangerous pothole near the Nallagandla Flyover. The pothole at the end of the flyover is a major concern due to the heavy traffic it attracts. Srikanth mentioned that the condition of this pothole worsens during the ongoing rainy season as water accumulates and increases the risk of accidents. He shared his difficulties with the pothole and warned that commuters who are not familiar with the area might face serious hazards.”

Srikanth Reddy has also taken to social media to raise awareness about the issue, posting, “Sir @EE_C20, @ZC_SLP, @GHMCOnline, the road beside Sadhana School, Nallagandla HUDA has potholes. Also, please fix the main road ramp with BT. Thank you.”
