HYDERABAD: Delhi Public School bus gutted in fire at Katedan
HYDERABAD: A Delhi Public School (DPS) bus was completely destroyed after it caught fire near Katedan in Nadergul on Wednesday afternoon. Officials said no students were on board at the time of the incident.
Driver escapes unhurt after noticing smoke
According to police, the driver noticed smoke coming from the rear of the vehicle while dropping students home. He immediately stopped the bus and got out, alerting nearby residents. Within minutes, the vehicle was engulfed in flames.
Firefighters douse blaze; bus completely gutted
Fire and Rescue Services personnel reached the spot soon after and managed to extinguish the fire. The cause of the blaze is yet to be ascertained. A major accident was averted as the driver had already completed student drop-offs before the fire broke out. Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported.
