Nacharam teen dies filming risky social media reel

HYDERABAD: A 14-year-old boy died after falling from a balcony while attempting a risky stunt for a social media reel in Nacharam.

The boy, identified as Mithun, was trying to gain popularity by creating videos for platforms such as Instagram, YouTube and Facebook. According to preliminary information, he attempted a dangerous stunt on the balcony railing and parapet wall.

He lost balance and fell, sustaining severe injuries. He was admitted to a hospital where he died during treatment.

Family from Bihar, police verify background

Mithun was a resident of a slum near the Gandhi statue in Mallapur, Nacharam. He was studying at a nearby school.

Police said he had recently started making reels after seeing his friends create similar videos. The family is reportedly from Bihar. Further details are awaited.
