Nacharam, Ghatkesar raids yield over 5 kg ganja
HYDERABAD: Four people were arrested after excise officials seized 3.270 kg of ganja during checks at Durganagar in Nacharam, officials said.
Assistant Excise Superintendent Sreeram Nivedita, Enforcement Circle Inspector Kotamma and their staff conducted the checks and seized the contraband.
The arrested were Intiyaz Ahmed, 27, Vijja Shivakumar, 23, Masood Sheikh, 19, and Raghupani Mogi Anand, 19. They were handed over to the Nacharam excise station, Malkajgiri Assistant Commissioner Pradeep Rao said.

In another case, Ghatkesar Circle Inspector Ravi and his staff conducted a raid at Plot No. 177 in Sri PC Nagar, NFC Nagar, following information about ganja sales.
Officials seized 1.960 kg of ganja from Madhav Nikhil Nikhil, 23, during the raid.
Police also seized a two-wheeler and mobile phones from the accused and registered a case, Inspector Ravi Kumar said.
