N Ramchander Rao speaking on Global AI Summit controversy

HYDERABAD:  N Ramchander Rao criticised Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party, alleging that their actions during the Global AI Summit reflected an anti-development mindset.

He said India was hosting a prestigious Global AI Summit with participation from leading global technology experts, innovators and partners. Such occasions, he said, required national unity and pride.

Rao alleged that Congress workers created disturbance at the event venue instead of supporting India’s growing role in the global technology sector.

He said responsible leadership should show constructive cooperation when the country was showcasing its technological capabilities and international standing.

According to Rao, attempts to disrupt or diminish such moments weaken collective national interests. He said opposition parties were expected to rise above politics and stand for national interest during key international events.

He alleged that the conduct of Congress workers under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership disappointed many Indians and said such actions did not strengthen democratic debate.

Rao said India was moving forward as a global technology power and that prioritising political gains over national interest during such events was unfortunate.
