Moinabad case: Rohith Reddy gets police custody

HYDERABAD: A court has granted three-day police custody of former MLA Rohith Reddy, a key accused in the Moinabad farmhouse drugs case, along with his brother Panjugula Ritesh Reddy and co-accused Namit Sharma in connection with a firing incident.
Court permits custody till March 26 evening
As per court orders, police can take the accused into custody from Chanchalguda Central Jail from Monday evening till the evening of March 26 for questioning.
Probe to focus on drugs links and firing
Investigators are expected to question Rohith Reddy on the source of drugs, the circumstances leading to the firing incident, and the reasons behind the alleged drugs party. Officials said further details may emerge if he discloses information during interrogation.
Eluru MP invite and drug use under scrutiny
Another key aspect under investigation is why Eluru Telugu Desam Party MP Putta Mahesh Yadav was invited to the party. Police will also examine whether he consumed drugs and other related issues.
