Actor Mohan Babu files complaint against Manoj & Monika over property occupation
Hyderabad: Veteran actor Mohan Babu filed a complaint against his son, actor Manchu Manoj, and his wife Monika at the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate in Hyderabad on December 9, 2024. In the complaint, Mohan Babu requested immediate action, citing threats to his life and property.
According to Mohan Babu’s complaint, his son Manoj, who had left the home and returned only four months earlier, caused a disturbance at the actor’s residence on December 8. He was accompanied by individuals described as “anti-social elements” hired by Manoj. After the disturbance, Manoj and his wife Monika reportedly left the house, leaving their 7-month-old daughter in the care of a maid and nanny.
Mohan Babu continued, “Later that evening, I was informed that Manoj had visited various locations and returned home around 9 p.m., by which time I was already asleep. The next morning, I noticed unfamiliar people near my house. While I was at my office in Madhapur, one of my employees told me that about 30 people, claiming to be associates of Manoj, had forcibly entered my residence. They threatened my staff, evicted them, and declared that no one could enter the house without their permission.”
He further expressed concern over his safety, saying, “These individuals, under Manoj and Monika’s instructions, have illegally occupied my home and continue to threaten my staff. I fear for my life, my property, and my valuables. I have been informed that these people are waiting for my return to harm me and force me to leave permanently.”
Mohan Babu, a 78-year-old senior citizen, stated that he believes his son and daughter-in-law orchestrated the occupation of his home using intimidation. He requested immediate legal action to evict Manoj, Monika, and their associates and to provide protection for his safety.
Meanwhile, Manchu Manoj filed a complaint at the Pahadi Shareef Police Station on December 9, 2024, in connection with an alleged dispute. Details of Manoj’s complaint remain unclear, but reports suggest he has requested police action based on his medical report.
The dispute reportedly began on December 8, when Manoj and his father had a heated argument over family matters. Both Mohan Babu and Manoj have now filed cases against each other.
Earlier on December 7, Manchu Manoj was seen leaving a hospital wearing a neck brace and showing signs of a leg injury. A video posted on social media showed Manoj struggling to walk, prompting concerns from his fans about his condition.
