Modi finalises Hyderabad visit schedule for May 10

HYDERABAD: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Hyderabad on May 10 to participate in multiple official and political programmes, according to the finalised schedule released on Wednesday.
Modi will arrive at Begumpet Airport from Bengaluru at 2.20 pm on Sunday. Between 2.30 pm and 3 pm, he will participate in foundation stone-laying ceremonies, inaugurations and dedication of development projects to the nation.
PM to inaugurate Sindhu Hospital near Hitec City
From Begumpet Airport, the Prime Minister will travel by helicopter and reach Sindhu Hospital near Hitec City at 3.45 pm to inaugurate the facility.
He is scheduled to return to Begumpet Airport at 4.40 pm. If time permits, Modi may also meet senior Bharatiya Janata Party leaders at the airport before proceeding to the next event.
At 5.30 pm, the Prime Minister will reach Secunderabad Parade Grounds to address the ‘Jana Aakrosh Sabha’ public meeting. After participating in the hour-long programme, he will depart from Begumpet Airport at 6.45 pm in an Indian Air Force aircraft for Jamnagar.
Officials indicated that minor changes to the Prime Minister’s schedule could still be made in the coming days.
Blue Book security protocol for PM visit
Ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit, Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao reviewed security arrangements with senior officials from multiple departments on Wednesday.
Officials were directed to strictly follow the Centre’s confidential ‘Blue Book’ security protocol guidelines meant for Very Very Important Persons (VVIPs). Traffic restrictions and diversions will be imposed on major routes across Hyderabad, and extensive security arrangements are being put in place.
Senior officials also inspected the meeting hall at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC). The review meeting was attended by Director General of Police (Law and Order) Mahesh Bhagwat, Cyberabad Police Commissioner M Ramesh, Ranga Reddy Collector Narayana Reddy and Cyberabad Municipal Commissioner Srujana, among others.
