Modi congratulates Vijay, Rashmika on wedding
Hyderabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna on their wedding scheduled for February 26, 2026.
In a letter dated February 24, 2026, addressed to Madhavi and Goverdhan Rao Deverakonda, Modi said it was “a pleasure” to be invited to the ceremony. He extended greetings to both the Deverakonda and Mandanna families.
“It marks the beginning of a new, beautiful chapter in the lives of Vijay and Rashmika,” the Prime Minister wrote. Referring to the Sanskrit phrase ‘Sakha Saptapada Bhava’, he said that after taking seven steps together, the couple become friends for life.
Modi added that while the two actors were familiar with scripts in films, this “divinely scripted chapter” of their real lives would outshine their work on screen.
“May the days, months and years to come be filled with shared dreams and their fulfilment,” he wrote, wishing that they embrace each other’s strengths and imperfections and journey through life as true partners.
He conveyed his blessings and best wishes to the couple and their families on the occasion.
