Miyapur Run 2025 to be held on April 20 at Miyapur Link Road, Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The second edition of the Miyapur Run is scheduled to take place on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at 6:00 a.m. on Miyapur Link Road, Hyderabad. This event, organised by Telangana Runners in collaboration with Avantika Constructions and IGNITE Junior College, aims to raise funds for children with special needs. So far, 900 participants have registered, with the event receiving official approval.
The Miyapur Run offers both fun and timed race categories, with registration fees starting from ₹300 for the 5K Fun Run, ₹500 for the 5K Timed Run, and ₹700 for the 10K Timed Run. All funds collected through registrations will be donated to an organization dedicated to supporting children with special needs. The donation will be handed over during the event, live on stage, highlighting the cause behind the run.
Along with race participation, runners will receive a T-shirt, finisher medal, and hydration support throughout the event. Participants in the timed categories will also have their results professionally recorded. The event promises a well-managed experience, with timing chips for accurate race results and designated areas for breakfast and hydration to keep runners energized.
The prize money for the 10K Timed Run includes ₹10,000 for the first-place winner in the below 40 years category, with the second and third prizes set at ₹7,000 and ₹5,000, respectively. The fourth and fifth-place finishers will receive ₹3,000 and ₹2,000. For participants aged between 40 and 50 years, the first-place winner will receive ₹5,000, while the second and third-place finishers will get ₹3,000 and ₹2,000, respectively. For those over 50, the first-place male winner will receive ₹5,000, while the first-place female winner will take home ₹5,000. The second and third prizes for both men and women in this category are ₹3,000 and ₹2,000.
In the 5K Timed Run, the prize for the first-place male and female winner under 45 years will be ₹7,500, followed by ₹5,000 and ₹4,000 for the second and third-place finishers. In the 45+ age category, first-place winners will receive ₹5,000, with ₹3,000 and ₹2,000 for second and third places, respectively.
The official T-shirt and medal for the event were unveiled on April 15, 2025, at the Science Lab of IGNITE Educational Institutions. The unveiling ceremony was attended by Balanagar DCP Suresh Kumar, who highlighted the importance of physical fitness and mental well-being for all individuals.
He encouraged community participation and support for the Miyapur Run, recognizing it as a great opportunity to give back to society.
Other dignitaries at the event included KPHB Inspector Rajashekar Reddy, Ignite Chairman Ramesh, Avantika Constructions’ Srinivas Reddy, and Telangana Runners’ Jaganmohan Reddy and Naresh.
