Miyapur police arrest interstate bike theft gang

HYDERABAD: Police busted an interstate gang involved in high-end motorcycle thefts in Miyapur and arrested four accused, recovering 21 two-wheelers worth ₹80 lakh.
Gang targeted premium motorcycles
According to Miyapur Assistant Commissioner of Police Y Srinivas Kumar, the accused selectively targeted premium motorcycles such as KTM and Royal Enfield models, stealing them and selling them to others.
Accused came to Hyderabad for jobs
The arrested were identified as Sai Kiran, 23; Leela Sai, 21; Vijayashiva Sai Prasad, 25; and Geddam Praveen, 25, all natives of Andhra Pradesh. They had come to Hyderabad in search of employment and were living in Miyapur, taking up small jobs.
Thefts planned due to financial strain
Police said the four developed an expensive lifestyle and found their salaries insufficient, leading them to form a gang and commit thefts. Following multiple complaints, police launched an investigation, arrested two of the accused initially and later secured the remaining two, who were earlier on the run.
