Traffic congestion likely on Miyapur-Alwyn X Road stretch for 180 days
HYDERABAD: Traffic congestion is likely on the Miyapur X Road-Alwyn X Road stretch for 180 days from August 14 due to ongoing construction works, Cyberabad Traffic Police said in a traffic advisory.
The construction includes a six-lane bi-directional flyover from Miyapur X Road to Alwyn X Road. It also includes a three-lane uni-directional underpass from Alwyn X Road to Hafeezpet and a three-lane road from Bachupally to Miyapur X Road on the Old Mumbai Highway (NH-65).
The works are being undertaken by the Project-II Wing of the Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) in the limits of Miyapur Traffic Police Station, according to the advisory issued by the joint commissioner of police, Traffic, Cyberabad.
Police ask commuters to plan travel and use alternate routes
Traffic congestion is expected particularly during peak hours along the Miyapur X Road-Alwyn X Road stretch during the construction period.
The traffic police advised commuters to use alternate routes and plan their journeys accordingly. They also appealed to the public to cooperate with the Cyberabad Traffic Police to ensure smooth movement of traffic.
The advisory said the inconvenience caused to commuters was regretted.
The 180-day period beginning August 14 is expected to run until February 10, 2027, based on the duration specified in the advisory.
