Six-Year-old girl rescued in Hyderabad: suspect arrested within 24 hours

Abids: Happy ending in a 6-year-old girl missing in Kattelmandi area under Abids police station.The girl was successfully rescued by the Hyderabad police within 24 hours on Sunday. The swift action led to the arrest of the suspect, ensuring the safe return of P. Pragathi to her relieved family.
The incident, which unfolded on a Saturday afternoon, saw a coordinated police effort involving the analysis of CCTV footage and strategic tracking, culminating in the child’s rescue from Kothur in the Ranga Reddy district. Going further into the case details, P. Priyanka resident of Begum Bazar, on Saturday at around 2 PM, she along with her brother’s daughter by name P. Pragathi came to her mother’s house situated at Kattelmandi, Abids.
“At around 4 PM P. Pragathi told her that she will play at Muthyalamma Temple and left
the house. Her sister’s son Vruthik (4 years old) and P. Pragathi were playing together, after some time Vruthik came home, but P. Pragathi didn’t,” said the complaint in her missing complaint.
Panicked relatives started searching for the missing girl and searched near the temple, but she could not be traced. Subsequently, the complainant approached the abids police and requested to take necessary action and trace out P Pragathi at the earliest possible.
Following which Abids police registered a missing case and altered all the police stations and formed special teams to rescue the girl. Meanwhile one team was tasked with analyzing the CCTV footage in the nearby areas.
To their shock the police found a suspect taking the girl with him and boarding an autorickshaw. Subsequently the special teams started tracing the movements of the suspect . The police traced the girl in Kothur of Ranga reddy district and handed over to their parents. Further police took the accused into custody and yet to identify the reason behind the kidnapping. Angered, the girl’s relatives attacked the accused in the police station. Police arrested the accused and further investigation is underway.
