Cyberabad Police Ban Drones Ahead Of Miss World 2025 In Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Police have imposed restrictions on the use of drones and other remotely controlled flying devices in certain areas, ahead of the Miss World contest scheduled from May 4 to June 2, 2025. The decision has been taken to ensure public safety and the security of event participants.

Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, Avinash Mohanty, IPS, has issued orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), prohibiting the flying of drones, para-gliders, and remotely controlled micro-light aircraft within a 100-meter radius of designated locations on specific dates.

The ban will be enforced at Hitex in Madhapur on May 2, 24, 26, and 31. At the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad, restrictions will be in place from May 6 to 8. Gachibowli Indoor Stadium will have restrictions on May 10 and 17.

The order will also apply to the Experium Eco Tour Park in Chilkoor on May 16, and to T-Hub in Gachibowli on May 20 and 21. Shilparamam in Madhapur will be covered under the ban on May 21, followed by Shilpakalavedika on May 22.

Additionally, strict restrictions will be in place at the Trident Hotel in Hi-Tech City, Madhapur, from May 2 through June 2.

Anyone found violating the order will face legal action under the relevant sections of law. The police have urged the public to cooperate and avoid any unauthorized flying activity during the restricted period.
