Charminar Heritage Walk And Chowmahalla Dinner To Set The Stage For Miss World 2025 In Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Telangana Tourism Secretary Smita Sabharwal, on April 8, 2025, directed officials to ensure smooth arrangements for the 72nd edition of the Miss World competition, which will be held from May 7 to 31, 2025. The event aims to enhance the state’s tourism and hospitality image. Models from 120 countries are expected to arrive in Hyderabad on May 6 and 7.

As part of the preparations, a Heritage Walk at Charminar will be organized for the contestants, followed by a Welcome Dinner at Chowmahalla Palace. Officials from the  Tourism, GHMC, Heritage, and Police departments conducted an on-site inspection of the venue to finalize the arrangements.

Smita Sabharwal instructed officials to align the event with Telangana’s tourism brand, ensuring it highlights the state’s rich cultural heritage. The Welcome Dinner will host approximately 120 models, along with 400 representatives, photographers, and international media personnel.

The evening will feature seating arrangements for photo shoots, live music, Sufi music, Qawwali performances, and a 20-minute cultural program showcasing Telangana’s traditions. A dinner featuring Nizam delicacies and Telangana specialties will follow.

The review meeting was attended by Tourism Director Hanumantu, Director of Youth Services Dr. Vasan Venkateshwara Reddy, Shilparamam Special Officer Kishan Rao, Setwin MD Venu Gopal, and other officials from Tourism, Police, and GHMC.
