Mirchowk police arrest man for allegedly selling fake educational certificates

HYDERABAD: Mirchowk police arrested a 38-year-old man for allegedly possessing and selling forged educational certificates during an operation at Etebar Chowk.
Police identified the accused as Abdul Rashed Khan. Officers seized 15 fake educational certificates, a Vivo mobile phone and a Suzuki Burgman scooter from his possession.
Probe points to organised certificate racket
According to the police, the investigation revealed that Abdul Rashed Khan was allegedly involved in selling forged educational certificates to individuals seeking overseas employment for illegal financial gain.
A case has been registered against the accused under the relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police said further investigation is underway.
Search on for absconding accused
Police said efforts are under way to trace and apprehend the remaining accused who are on the run.
