Mendora records 46°C as Telangana reels under heat

HYDERABAD : The state continues to reel under intense summer heat, with conditions resembling a heatwave across several regions. Residents are facing high temperatures and severe humidity.

Maximum temperatures above 41°C have been recorded in most parts of the state. Mendora in Nizamabad district recorded the highest temperature of 46°C on Sunday.

The weather department said similar conditions are likely to continue for the next two days and advised people to take precautions. It added that heatwave conditions may prevail in north Telangana districts.

Teen dies of heatstroke in Nalgonda district

In a separate incident, a teenager died of suspected heatstroke in Nalgonda district. The deceased was identified as Matangi Vikram, 16, son of Matangi Madaru and Mutyalamma of Sangaram village.
