Mehdipatnam traffic diversion announced for skywalk works
HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad Traffic Police have announced temporary traffic diversions at Mehdipatnam in view of ongoing skywalk construction works near Rythu Bazar and the bus stop.
The diversions will be in place on the intervening night of April 10 and 11, 2026, from 00.00 hrs to 06.00 hrs, to ease congestion and facilitate construction activity.
Diversions planned at PVNR Expressway junction
Traffic coming from Masab Tank, NMDC and Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital towards Rethibowli and Nanal Nagar will be diverted at PVNR Expressway pillars 2 and 3 near Azizia Mosque.
Vehicles will be rerouted via Meraj Cafe, take a right turn towards Mehdipatnam at pillar 15, and rejoin the regular route.
Public advised to follow updates and helpline
The police urged commuters to follow real-time updates on their official social media platforms and plan journeys accordingly.
“In case of any emergency in travel, kindly call our traffic helpline 9010203626 for assistance,” the advisory said.
Authorities requested citizens to cooperate with traffic personnel and use alternate routes during the diversion period.
The advisory was issued by Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), D. Joel Davis.
