Sajjanar launches ‘Meet Your CP’ outreach programme
HYDERABAD: V C Sajjanar on Tuesday launched a public outreach initiative titled Meet Your CP, aimed at strengthening engagement between the police and citizens and ensuring quicker resolution of public grievances.
Under the programme, citizens from all sections can directly meet the Commissioner from 2 pm onwards on all working days at the Hyderabad City Police headquarters located at TGICCC in Banjara Hills. The initiative allows residents to raise concerns related to law and order, traffic, neighbourhood safety, policing services and other civic issues.
To improve accessibility for residents of the old city, the interaction will be held every Friday at Kotwal House in the Purani Haveli area. Police officials said this arrangement was made to ensure that people from densely populated localities could engage with the police leadership without travelling long distances.
Officials said the outreach programme is intended to promote transparency, build public confidence in policing and encourage citizens to share constructive feedback and suggestions. Issues raised during the meetings will be reviewed and forwarded to the concerned wings for follow-up action, they added.
The police appealed to citizens to make effective use of the initiative and assured that genuine grievances would be addressed in a time-bound manner through coordination with field level officers.
