Meerpet rowdy sheeter Suri hacked to death
HYDERABAD: A rowdy sheeter, Nandanavanam Suri, was hacked to death in Meerpet police station limits on Tuesday.
Accused attacks victim with pepper spray, knife
Police said Suri was an accused in earlier murder cases involving his wife and brother-in-law Salman. Several criminal cases were registered against him in Warangal, Hyderabad and Malkajgiri commissionerates. A city externment order was also in force against him.
According to preliminary information, Suri came to Nandanavanam to attend a birthday function of his second wife’s brother.
Victim declared dead at hospital after severe injuries
Afroz, Salman’s brother, learnt about Suri’s arrival and reached the venue. He allegedly sprayed pepper spray into Suri’s eyes and then attacked him with a knife indiscriminately.
Locals shifted Suri to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Meerpet police registered a case and are investigating.
