Meerpet murder: Rachakonda police find bloodstains & hair samples sent to forensic lab

Hyderabad: Rachakonda police have achieved a significant breakthrough in the horrific Meerpet murder case, in which a woman was reportedly killed, her body dismembered, boiled, and discarded by her husband. The crime incident occurred in New Venkataramana Colony, Jillelaguda, within the Meerpet area of Ranga Reddy district.
During a meticulous investigation, the Clues team, utilizing advanced blue-race technology, discovered crucial evidence within the accused’s residence: a small piece of meat, blood stains, and hair. These samples have been sent to the forensic laboratory for analysis in Delhi.
The accused has been identified as Guru Murthy (45), a native of Prakasam district in Andhra Pradesh. He served in the Army and retired. He is currently working as a security guard in Kanchanbagh. Guru Murthy was married to Venkata Madhavi 13 years ago. They have two children. The accused, Putta Guru Murthy, confessed to murdering his wife, Venkata Madhavi, after initial denials. Police Commissioner G Sudheer Babu confirmed that the missing person’s case has been reclassified as a murder.
Domestic Dispute Leads to Horrific Crime:
Investigations revealed that escalating domestic disputes, including a panchayat held over Guru Murthy’s alleged mistreatment of his sister-in-law and his extramarital affair, fueled the tragic incident. A heated argument over attending the Sankranti festival culminated in a violent altercation.
According to police sources, Madhavi, in a fit of anger, threw her mangalsutra at Guru Murthy. He retaliated violently, striking her head against the wall. Believing she had fainted, Guru Murthy panicked. Upon realizing she was dead, he dismembered her body, disposed of the remains in a drainage system and a nearby pond, and attempted to conceal the crime.
Blue-Race Technology Uncovers Hidden Evidence:
The Rachakonda Police, utilizing blue-race technology, meticulously examined the crime scene. This advanced technique, employing specialized blue and UV lights, can reveal even the most subtle traces of evidence, such as fingerprints, bloodstains, and bodily fluids, even if the scene has been cleaned.
According to police reports, Guru Murthy and his mother, Subbamma, initially reported Venkata Madhavi, his wife, as missing on January 16. The Meerpet police are investigating the murder case of Venkata Madhavi and will soon reveal full details.
