Medical students protest over pending stipends, infrastructure at Chevella college
HYDERABAD: Medical students staged a protest at Patnam Mahender Reddy Medical College in Chevella on Tuesday, demanding the release of their pending stipends and improvements to basic infrastructure on the campus.
The students sought immediate payment of their stipends and the provision of essential facilities, including safe drinking water, adequate hostel accommodation and other basic amenities.
The protesters alleged that the college management had failed to address their grievances despite repeated representations. They claimed that the management had been ignoring their concerns for the past 10 days.
According to the students, the lack of basic facilities has affected their day-to-day life and academic environment. They urged the management to resolve the issues without further delay.
The students warned that they would continue their agitation until their demands were met.
