Medchal Tahsildar caught accepting ₹2 lakh bribe through driver, ACB registers case

HYDERABAD: Medchal-Malkajgiri district’s Shamirpet Tahsildar Sucharita was caught red-handed by officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while allegedly accepting a ₹2 lakh bribe through her driver.
According to ACB officials, the trap was conducted after receiving a complaint regarding the alleged demand for a bribe. During the operation, the tainted amount of ₹2 lakh was allegedly accepted through the tahsildar’s driver on her behalf.
The ACB apprehended those involved during the trap and seized the bribe amount. Officials said a case has been registered and an investigation is underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the alleged demand and acceptance of the bribe.
