Hyderabad: A man reportedly took his own life at the Medchal MPDO Office premises in Medchal-Malkajgiri district on Friday, September 6, 2024.

According to reports, the deceased left a note indicating that his suicide was motivated by two main issues. There are problems with his mother and the lack of sanction for a bank loan waiver. The letter was found at the crime spot.

Upon discovering the incident, Medchal police promptly arrived at the location and began their investigation. The body was subsequently transferred to a hospital for further examination.

The Medchal Circle Inspector (CI) stated that the deceased had been dealing with health issues and that authorities are currently looking into whether he owned a farm and if there were any additional factors contributing to his distress. The police have registered a case and are continuing their inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.

It was earlier reported that a mother and son were reportedly found dead in their home in SRL Colony Kottapet, under the limits of Chaitanya Puri police station on Wednesday, July 25, 2024.

According to police, Gunji Padma, a native of Ongole, and her eldest son, Gunji Vamsi Kanna, took their own lives due to severe financial hardship. The family had migrated to Hyderabad a few years ago in search of better opportunities, but the death of the father, Gunji Shiva, due to illness a few months ago worsened their financial situation.

Unable to cope with the burden of family expenses and the inability to afford her children’s education, Padma tragically ended her life. Devastated by his mother’s loss, Vamsi Kanna also succumbed to despair and committed suicide.

In a separate incident, the wife of Indian National Congress leader and Choppadandi Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Medipally Satyam allegedly died by ending her life at their residence in Alwal on June 21. Alwal police of Cyberabad commissionerate registered a case of suspicious death, and investigations are underway.
