HYDERABAD: The Commissioner’s Task Force (Jubilee Hills Zone), along with Sanathnagar police, seized 60 grams of MDMA worth ₹6 lakh and arrested four persons, including two juveniles in conflict with law.
Police said the accused were part of a small drug supply network operating in the city.
The arrested individuals were identified as Songapu Hemanth, 23, and Mukkagalla Nagendra, 21. Two juveniles were also apprehended. Police said Hemanth and Nagendra were consumers who also procured and distributed the drug to known customers in Hyderabad.
Accused sourced drugs from local suppliers in Chintal
According to police, the accused were habitual consumers of alcohol, ganja and MDMA. They developed contacts with suppliers in Chintal and began purchasing MDMA at lower prices.
Investigators said the group procured 60 grams of MDMA two days before the arrest. They allegedly planned to sell it to regular customers at higher rates to make quick profits.
