Hyderabad: Major fire engulfs plastic factory in Katedan Industrial Area
Hyderabad: A massive fire erupted in a plastic company located at Katedan Industrial Area in Hyderabad on Sunday. No injuries were reported so far.
After receiving the information about the blaze, the fire department pressed the fire tenders into action at the spot to douse the blaze. The cause of the fire is yet to be known.
Frequent fire accidents in the city have raised concerns among residents. In January, a fire broke out at a tiffin centre in the Nizampet area of Bachupally. The incident occurred while several workers were present at the eatery.
Earlier this week, a major fire broke out at a chemical factory in the Cherlapally industrial area. Thick smoke and flames engulfed the factory and the surrounding area.
According to reports, highly flammable substances stored at the facility may have contributed to the blaze. Firefighters quickly rushed to the sport and doused the fire.
Prior to this, a similar fire incident damaged a portion of the building after the fire was triggered by an electrical short circuit at the power unit in the cellar. The incident occurred near Kishanbagh X Roads.
According to reports, the fire originated in the cellar of the building and its flames gradually spread to the upper floors. Upon noticing the flames, local residents immediately alerted the fire department. Firefighters rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control before it could cause extensive damage.
By the time the fire was extinguished, thick smoke had engulfed the entire building. No casualties were reported in the incident. Meanwhile, police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire.
