Maulana Azad Urdu University to host Hackathon 2025

Manuu To Host Hackathon 2025, A Data Science Initiative

Hyderabad: Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is hosting Hackathon 2025 from February 3 to 6, 2025. The hackathon is a collaborative effort of Hack4Dev and The Inter-university Institute for Data Intensive Astronomy (IDIA), Ilifu, The DARA (Development in Africa with Radio Astronomy) Big Data project, and The Office of Astronomy for Development (OAD), South Africa.

Hack4dev is launching Data Science (DS) Hackathons to provide participants with hands-on experience in fast-paced environments grounded in real-world research projects, according to a press release

The convenor of the hackathon, Dr Priya Hasan, said thirty students will be invited at the national level to participate in the event. She added that interested students with strong Python programming skills can apply on the link (https://hack4dev.org/) at Hack4dev.

Recently, the Urdu university celebrated its 28th Foundation Day. The central university was established at Gachibowli in 1998. Presiding over the Foundation Day celebrations of MANUU, Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor, said that after opening Law School, the Urdu university will make every possible effort to set up a medical college.

The varsity is also expanding its campus at Urdu Hall, Himayat Nagar. The extended campus will offer new courses for women.
