Fire breaks out at BRC Apartments in Manikonda

HYDERABAD: A fire broke out at the BRC Apartments in Manikonda on Sunday when flames suddenly erupted in the electrical wires of a duct unit.

Residents rush out in panic

Seeing the smoke and flames, residents ran downstairs in panic. Locals immediately alerted the police and the fire department. Firefighters reached the location quickly and brought the blaze under control using four fire engines. Electricity officials disconnected power supply as a precautionary measure.

Power supply hit up to 19 floors

The electrical wires in the duct were completely burnt, disrupting power supply up to the 19th floor of the building.
