Mandal revenue inspector caught taking ₹20,000 bribe in Nalgonda

HYDERABAD: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on February 2, 2026, caught a Mandal Revenue Inspector red-handed while allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of ₹20,000 at the Mandal Revenue Office in Gurrampode mandal of Nalgonda district.
The accused, Mohammed Abdul Hakeem, Mandal Revenue Inspector, was trapped around 1 pm while accepting the bribe from a complainant. He allegedly demanded the money for processing and forwarding an application to the tahsildar.
According to ACB officials, Hakeem sought the bribe to restore deleted land details in Survey No. 225/6, measuring Ac. 1.15 guntas, in the online 1-B Register (Record of Rights).
ACB officers recovered the tainted amount of ₹20,000 from the accused at his instance. Officials said he misused his official position and acted dishonestly to gain undue advantage.
The ACB is arresting the accused and will produce him before the I Additional Special Judge for Trial of SPE and ACB Cases Court in Hyderabad. Further investigation is underway.
