Manchu Manoj Controversy: Mohan Babu attacks media reporters
Hyderabad: The controversy surrounding the Tollywood film family, Manchu Mohan Babu and Manchu Manoj has turned sore. In a recent event, actor Mohan Babu in a fit of rage attacked two media reporters, Ranjith and Suryam belonging to two media houses. For the past couple of days, the Manchu family has been at the epicenter of controversy, with allegations of property disputes and physical attacks from both the parties, as the father and son were at loggerheads.
The video of the attack has gone viral on social media, where Mohan Babu can be seen fiercely pulling away the mic of a media personnel and then throwing it on the face of the reporter, injuring two reporters seriously. Several media reporters have also raised slogans protesting against the attack on reporters by Mohan Babu and demanded an apology.

Several media organisations including Working Journalists of India, Telangana Union of Working Journalists Association, Telangana Working Journalists Federation among others have condemned the attack.
In a statement, Telangana Union of Working Journalists Association (TUWJ) said that it condemns the attack on two reporters, Ranjith from TV9, and another journalist Suryam by Mohan Babu. “It is not fair that Mohan Babu resorted to physical violence as the media went to cover the issue. He should not show his emotions to the media.” Further the association members have demanded to file an attempt to murder case on Mohan Babu and warned of protests, if action is not taken.
Mohan Babu is one of the renowned actors in the film industry, with over decades of experience working here. Meanwhile, Manchu Manoj is also an actor, however, he has taken a break from acting for a while. The family dispute has now brought the limelight on the family. Meanwhile, Manchu Vishnu, who is also the president of Movie Artists Association (MAA) the elder son of Mohan Babu has not issued any statement yet.
