Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna shares harrowing experience with drug allergy on Instagram
Hyderabad: Indian actress, film producer, and television presenter Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna recently took to Instagram to share her alarming experience with a drug allergy, which she encountered over the past two weeks. Manchu Lakshmi revealed that she is now recovering but wanted to raise awareness about the dangers of unknown drug allergies.
In her Instagram post, Manchu Lakshmi disclosed, “I had an isolated drug reaction to ‘Tylenol and Aleve,’ which many people take for pain relief or general discomfort. I was unaware of my allergy until I experienced a severe reaction. My lower lip was affected, and I developed a bump on my hand. Thankfully, my doctor friends in America prescribed me medication to prevent the allergy from worsening.”
She urged her followers to exercise caution with medications, highlighting the importance of understanding potential allergies. Lakshmi added, “It’s crucial to know what our bodies can tolerate. I have learned that I am also allergic to the Nefroshine Tablet. Many people have suffered severe reactions or even died from taking medication they were unknowingly allergic to.”
Lakshmi expressed her fear and concern, noting the challenges of accessing immediate medical care in a foreign country like the U.S. compared to India. She advised her fans to undergo allergy tests to identify any sensitivities and prevent similar incidents.
She concluded her message with a note of reassurance, saying that she is now recovering and will take some time to heal completely. “I was terrified for two weeks, but I am fine now,” she said.
