Man Killed While Changing Tyre On Hyderabad’s Outer Ring Road

Hyderabad: A man was killed and another injured in a tragic accident on the Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Himayat Sagar, Hyderabad, on Thursday, May 8, 2025. The incident occurred when the victim, Shiva Keshav, was changing a tyre of a broken-down vehicle.

According to police, the accident took place near Exit 17 on the ORR, when a car traveling from Hyderabad to Shamshabad broke down. The car’s driver informed authorities, and a recovery van was dispatched to the scene to assist.

While Shiva Keshav, the recovery van driver, was in the process of changing the tyre, a speeding Toyota car crashed into the vehicles. The force of the impact threw Shiva Keshav into the air, and he died instantly. Another person at the scene was seriously injured and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital.

Preliminary investigations suggest that overspeeding was the primary cause of the collision. Three vehicles were damaged in the crash.

The Rajendranagar police have registered a case and are continuing their investigation into the incident.
