Man gets life term for raping and impregnating minor daughter
HYDERABAD: A 41-year-old man convicted for raping and impregnating his minor daughter by the special court for expeditious trial of rape and POCSO cases in LB Nagar on Tuesday. Court sentenced life term imprisonment under and imposed a fine of 82,000 on him. The court also compensated 15 lakh to the girl.
The girl (victim) gave birth to a baby boy a few months ago, who is currently under the care of the women and child welfare department. She was studying in class IX when the case was reported in Jan 2023.

This is one of the rare instances, where the accused being father of the girl(victim), the survivor, her mother and their entire family members testified against him in the court of law. But this type of incident is not for the first time.
DNA profiling and other medical evidence proved him guilty in the court. The court started the trial in January 2024. “Convict forcefully raped the girl at their home in Meerpet when his wife was away from home. He worked as a laborer. And accused also threatened to harm his daughter if she reveal the matter to anyone.” said Police.
In January 2023, When the daughter complained of ill-health, her mother took her to hospital and found that the the girl is pregnant. After knowing that the child is pregnant, the daughter told to his mother about the atrocities done by her father. She also told how her father raped her on multiple occasions, when her mother was away from home. Following this she filed a case and he was arrested and remanded in judicial custody. And on Tuesday, he got life term imprisonment.
