Man Attacked With Acid At Saidabad Temple; Police Investigate

Hyderabad: A temple accountant was attacked with acid at the Saidabad Temple. The victim, identified as Narsingh Rao, was on duty when an unidentified man threw acid at him around 8:30 p.m. before fleeing the scene, according to the Saidabad Police.

Local residents alerted authorities immediately, and Narsingh Rao was rushed to Malakpet Yashoda Hospital for treatment. The police have launched an investigation and are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the attacker. Initial inquiries are focused on determining the motive behind the attack.

Narsingh Rao, a resident of Lakshmi Nagar Colony, has worked as the temple’s accountant for several years. It was learnt that the assailant approached Narsingh Rao, claiming he wished to perform an archana and homa at the temple. While Narsingh Rao was preparing a receipt, the attacker threw acid from a bottle and fled on a motorcycle.

Following the incident, protests erupted in the area, with devotees demanding justice for the victim. The police have registered a case and assured the public that efforts are underway to catch the attacker.
