HYDERABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samithi legislators Malla Reddy and Marri Rajasekhar Reddy have once again come under scrutiny over an alleged land dispute at Suchitra Centre in Medchal district.

Srinivas Reddy alleges land grab

The dispute has been ongoing for several years. Complainant Srinivas Reddy alleged that the two leaders encroached upon 1.29 acres, including 33 guntas, in Survey Numbers 82 and 83. He said his land was taken when Malla Reddy was a minister.

He appealed to the government to ensure justice.

Revenue officials conduct official survey

In view of the dispute, revenue officials carried out an official land survey on Tuesday amid a heavy police presence. Officials said the exercise would continue until all boundaries were verified.

‘Plot to seize our land despite court order’: Malla Reddy

Malla Reddy countered the allegations, saying that despite a favourable court order, an attempt was being made to take over his land. Both sides presented their arguments strongly at the site.

The tense exchange created a high-alert atmosphere in the area during the survey.
