Malla Reddy irks in a land dispute in Qutubullapur
Qutubullapur: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) senior leader and former Minister Chamakura Malla Reddy and his son in law, who is also a BRS party leader and Malkajgiri MLA Marri Rajsekhar Reddy entered into brawl with 10 others in a land issue in Petbasheerabad police station limits on Saturday. The police reportedly detained the former minister, Malla reddy.
Going further into the details, the land which is in the limelight is a 2.22 acres plot in Quthbullapur of Petbasheerabad police station. Former minister Malla Reddy bought 1.29 acres from a businessman and another 1.11 acres of land belonging to around 10 members and each of them had land ranging from 300- 500 guntas. However Malla Reddy allegedly claimed the complete 2.22 acres of land.
Reportedly someone erected barricades surrounding the land on Friday late night. Subsequently, both Malla Reddy and his son-in-law Rajshekar Reddy rushed to the spot along with their followers and started removing the barricades.
Videos of Malla Reddy arguing went viral
In the video which went viral on social media, Malla Reddy can be seen arguing with the Inspector of police and venting out his anger asking the police to intervene in the issue and give his land to him. He further asked them to act on a complaint that he reportedly gave earlier in the PetBasheerbagh police station limits. In the video, the leader can be seen arguing with the police and can be heard saying, ‘how can you stop?’. In another video, Malla Reddy can be seen explaining the land issues to the Assistant Commissioner of Police.

Malla Reddy also addressed the press over the land dispute. Speaking to the media, former minister Malla Reddy said, “About 14 years ago we bought this land. For 8 years a case has been going in the court. Before elections they approached us. So we asked them to conduct a survey and sort out the issue”.
