Hyderabad trio earn Guinness recognition for keyboard performance

MALKAJGIRI: A mother and son from Anandbagh in Malkajgiri have secured a place in the Guinness World Records for their keyboard performance.
Mother and son among top performers worldwide
Evelyn Geetha, a homemaker, and her son Joel Lemuel Melund, a Class IV student, have been learning keyboard at a local music school.
Representatives of Guinness World Records conducted a keyboard performance event in Secunderabad on February 2, 2026, with around 2,000 participants from 22 countries. Of them, 777 performers were selected for their performance.
The duo was among those selected and recently received Guinness World Records certificates at the Guinness Achievers Meet held at Victory Auditorium in Gachibowli.
Hyderabad woman also receives Guinness recognition
Burgula Sharmila Rani of Hyderabad has also earned recognition in the Guinness World Records through a keyboard performance event.
The programme, held on February 2, 2026, featured nearly 2,000 artists from 22 countries who played the keyboard continuously for an hour.
Sharmila Rani was among the 777 performers selected for their performance.
Certificates presented at achievers’ gathering
She received her certificate from Hallett Music School founder Augustine Dandingi at a recent event held at Victoria Auditorium in the Gachibowli area.
