Malkajgiri civic body clears ₹44.6 crore for Uppal Bhagayat
Hyderabad: The Standing Committee of the Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation (MMC) approved 13 resolutions at its meeting held at the corporation headquarters in Tarnaka on Wednesday. The meeting was chaired by Special Officer Jayesh Ranjan. Of the total resolutions, nine proposals worth ₹44.65 crore relate to the development of the Uppal Bhagayat layout.
Under the approved proposals, flood drains will be constructed in Phase I of Uppal Bhagayat at a cost of ₹31.2 crore. Another flood drain will be taken up on Road No. 6 in Phase II for ₹3 crore. Footpaths along the proposed flood drain corridors will be developed for ₹5.5 crore, while a sports complex will be built in Phase I at a cost of ₹4.95 crore.
A flood canal costing ₹4 crore will also be constructed from the Orchid Villa main gate in Yapral to the Kowkoor main road via Janapriya Apartments.
Land acquisition, animal care and civic works approved
The committee approved acquisition of 317 properties for widening the road from Chilukanagar Crossroads to Boduppal Main Road. It also cleared acquisition of 100 properties for widening the road from the FCI godown at Chengicherla to Chintala Cheruvu.
Other resolutions include:
- Construction of animal care centres and sterilisation facilities for street dogs in Jawahar Nagar at a cost of ₹5.3 crore.
- Construction of a circle office in the Cheeryal area of Keesara Division at a cost of ₹5.5 crore.
