Malkajgiri: Youth Dies in Two-Wheeler Collision
HYDERABAD: A 23-year-old man died after two motorcycles collided in Malkajgiri police station limits in the early hours of Tuesday.
Police identified the deceased as Deshpaka Shreyant, a resident of Ramnagar. He was working as a store in-charge at the Hyundai showroom in ECIL.
According to Circle Inspector Satyanarayana, Shreyant was returning home on his motorcycle after finishing duty around midnight. At the same time, Rishikesh, a resident of Dammaiguda, was heading towards Moula Ali Kaman to have haleem.
Their vehicles collided head-on. One of the motorcycles caught fire and was gutted. Shreyant, who sustained severe injuries, died on the spot. Rishikesh was critically injured.
Locals doused the flames and alerted the police. Officers shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem.
A case has been registered and an inquiry is under way, police said.
