Mahesh Kumar Goud hails 1,000 days of Praja Palana in Telangana
HYDERABAD: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president and MLC Bomma Mahesh Kumar Goud on Monday hailed the completion of 1,000 days of the Congress government’s ‘Praja Palana’ in Telangana.
Goud said the period had brought a change in governance, with farmers, women, youth and weaker sections placed at the centre of government policies.
He said the government had spent ₹1.75 lakh crore on agriculture and filled more than 70,000 government posts. It had also issued 16.32 lakh new ration cards, he said.
BC census, reservations and SC categorisation among key steps
Goud highlighted the BC caste census and the government’s move towards 42% reservation for backward classes in local bodies. He also cited the completion of the categorisation of Scheduled Castes as a major step.
Goud congratulated Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Congress workers on the completion of 1,000 days of ‘Praja Palana’.
He said the government had kept farmers, women, youth and weaker sections at the centre of its policy initiatives during the period.
