WhatsApp tip-off leads to arrest of four drug peddlers in Mahabubnagar

HYDERABAD: A WhatsApp complaint led to the arrest of four alleged drug peddlers by the RNCC Mahabubnagar unit of EAGLE Force, in coordination with Jadcherla Town Police. Officials said the accused were supplying ganja to local college students.
250 grams of ganja seized; one accused sourced drug from Nepal contact
During the operation, police seized 250 grams of ganja from their possession. The accused were identified as Nani Koushik alias Marikanti Sumanth Reddy, Abdul Rahaman, a tea shop worker from Jadcherla; Subhod Kanth Sharma, a security guard from Bihar; and Mithu Kumar Yadav, a security supervisor also from Bihar.
Investigators found that Mithu Kumar allegedly procured ganja from a Nepal-based supplier, identified as Subod Singh, for ₹9,500 per kg. A case was registered under Crime No. 802/2025, Sections 8(c) read with 20(b)(ii)(A) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985, at Jadcherla Town Police Station.
