Mother, 7-month-old killed as car rams parked lorry in Mahabubnagar
HYDERABAD: A woman and her seven-month-old child died after a car rammed into a parked lorry near Sneha Company in Addakal mandal of Mahabubnagar district, police said.
The deceased were identified as Nandini, 26, and her infant son Kannayya. Both died on the spot due to the impact.
Family was travelling for temple visit early morning
The family was travelling to Yadagirigutta for darshan when the accident occurred. Prakash Reddy, the husband of Nandini, sustained serious injuries and was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Police said the victims were residents of Kanchiraopalli village in Pebberu mandal.
Police register case, probe cause of accident
A case has been registered, and an investigation is under way to ascertain the exact cause of the accident. Preliminary findings suggest the car collided with a stationary lorry parked along the roadside.
