HYDERABAD: A 32 year old farmer and his four year old son died after being electrocuted and falling into an agricultural well at Balaranthanda village in Mahabubabad mandal on Saturday.

Child touches live wire while riding on father’s shoulders

Keloth Madan had taken his wife Anita and son Lakshith to their agricultural field. After ploughing the land with a tractor, Madan spent some time playing with his son.

Later, he lifted the child onto his shoulders and began walking back. While seated on his father’s shoulders, the boy accidentally touched a live electric wire connected to an agricultural motor.

Both fall into well, drown before rescue arrives

The electric shock caused both father and son to fall into a nearby agricultural well. Anita, who saw them approaching from a distance, rushed towards them after noticing the accident.

By the time she and nearby farmers reached the spot, both had drowned. Local residents and fire services personnel later retrieved the bodies from the well.

Anita collapsed in grief after witnessing the deaths of her husband and young son. Police reached the spot and began an inquiry into the incident.
