Dr M Ram Mohan Honoured With Nasi Fellowship For Research On Earth’s Crustal Evolution

HYDERABAD: Dr M Ram Mohan, Chief Scientist at the CSIR–National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI), Hyderabad, has been elected a Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI), in recognition of his contributions to research in Archean geodynamics and crustal evolution.

Dr Mohan’s studies have significantly advanced scientific understanding of the processes that shaped the Earth’s early crust and contributed to global knowledge of geological evolution.

Recognition for decades of scientific excellence

Over his career, Dr Mohan has received several national honours, including the National Geoscience Award, Bellur Rama Rao Birth Centenary Award, Krishnan Gold Medal, and Fellowship of the Telangana Academy of Sciences.

His election as NASI Fellow underscores both his sustained scientific achievements and the continued leadership of CSIR–NGRI in geoscience research at the national level.
