Hyderabad: The Central Government of India has clarified that there has been no change in LPG cylinder booking rules. It urged people not to believe rumours circulating on social media.

The government said the existing booking interval has not been extended. It added that there is no shortage of LPG in the country and there is no need for concern.

Existing refill timelines remain unchanged across regions

Officials reiterated that the current rules continue to be in force. In urban areas, the gap for LPG cylinder refill remains 25 days, while in rural areas, it continues to be 45 days.

The government said reports claiming changes in these rules are incorrect.
