Loyola Academy concludes week-long Resonance festival with film industry guests

HYDERABAD: Loyola Academy Degree & PG College concluded its week-long cultural and literary festival ‘Resonance’ on November 29, marking the finale of celebrations held under the theme Ignisia: Ignite the Golden Spark Within. The festival began on November 24 with preliminary rounds across departments.
The valedictory ceremony was attended by guests from the Telugu film industry, who appreciated the campus for nurturing student talent beyond academics.
Actor Shree Nandu, producer Shyam Sunder Reddy, actress Yamini Bhaskar and director Varun Reddy from the Psyc Siddharth team interacted with students and released a song from their upcoming film.
Sumanth Prabhas and director Subash Chandra from Godari Gattupaina, along with actor Jagadeesh Prathap (known for the Keshava character in Pushpa) and director-actor Adhire Abhi, were also present.
The guests shared their professional journeys and urged students to pursue their goals with discipline and hard work. They commended the institution for consistently providing platforms to develop creativity.
During a brief interaction with the media, the management said, “This cultural week is conducted every year to encourage and showcase the talents of our students.”
Students participated in band performances, classical and western dance, group and solo music, art and photography, mehendi, face painting, dodge ball, Survive the Circuit, and several other events. More than 1,500 students took part in the festival.

The overall winners of Resonance 2025 were announced during the valedictory ceremony:
• First Prize: B.A. Mass Communication
• Second Prize: B.A. Psychology, English & Journalism
• Third Prize: B.Com. Strategic Finance
The programme concluded with the National Anthem. The college management congratulated the winners and appreciated all participants for their enthusiasm. Those present included Correspondent Fr Dr A Francis Xavier, Principal Fr Dr N B Babu, Vice Principals Fr Dr A M Joseph Kumar (Student Affairs), Fr M Arul Jothi (Sports & NCC), Fr B Peter, Controller of Examinations Fr Dr L Thomas, Fr Thainese, Fr Sudhakar, teaching and non-teaching staff, and students.
