KAMAREDDY: A leopard was found dead in an agricultural field in Jukkal mandal of Kamareddy district, triggering concern among residents.

Two leopards spotted in villages recently

According to locals, two leopards had been roaming the outskirts of Bangarupalli and Dostpalli villages in Jukkal mandal for the past few days.

Post-mortem conducted; samples sent for forensic analysis

An unidentified person recorded a video of the dead leopard found in a farm on the outskirts of Bangarupalli and uploaded it on social media on Monday. On Tuesday, district in-charge forest officer Aravind and veterinary officer Pandarinath reached the spot and conducted a post-mortem examination. The carcass was later cremated at the site.

Aravind said samples had been sent to a forensic laboratory and the cause of death would be known only after the report is received.
