Hyderabad: In the latest update to the actor Allu Arjun’s case, the actor has secured interim bail for limited period from the Telangana High Court. Allu Arjun was arrested on Friday, December 13, 2024, in connection with the death of a 35-year-old Revathi in the stampede at the Sandhya Theatre on the first day of the Pushpa2 release. While this is the case update, the man behind bringing the actor out on bail and has become the ‘hero’ of the day is Advocate S Niranjan Reddy.

What was Niranjan’s argument?

Niranjan Reddy argued that Allu Arjun and his team got permission from the assistant commissioner of Police two days before the film’s release on December 2, 2024, to attend the Sandhya Theatre at RTC X Roads.

Niranjan Reddy also argued that the allegations against the actor lacked the intent necessary to establish culpable homicide. “To make out a case for culpable homicide, there needs to be an intention. The FIR doesn’t state that Allu Arjun had knowledge or intended harm,” he emphasized. The counsel also recalled a similar case involving Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, where the court held that the actor was not criminally liable for a stampede during a promotional event.

Further, Niranjan has also highlighted that the police were absent on the ground and they were also running behind Allu Arjun when the victim died on the ground.
