Land transfer case: Complaint to ED against three senior IAS officers

Hyderabad: Even as the senior IAS officer and former Rangareddy district collector D Amoy Kumar is embroiled in an illegal land transfer case, a few residents of Kondapur have filed a fresh complaint with the Enforcement Directorate against Kumar while including the names of another senior IAS officer Naveen Mittal and former Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar. They have alleged that the three IAS officers have transferred a large tract of donated land to a private entity in a fraudulent manner.

In their written complaint, the residents claimed that one family donated their 88 acres of land at Masjid Banda to the Balasai Trust. They alleged that the three senior IAS officers hastily issued a G.O. 45 to illegally transfer 42 acres of the donated land parcel to Bhupathi Associates. The officers are also accused of forging documents of the said property. The complainants, Ved Raghavayya and Suresh, have requested a thorough probe into the matter.

Amoy Kumar is already facing an Enforcement Directorate probe into the alleged illegal transfer of 42 acres of Bhoodan land in Nagaram village of Maheshwaram mandal to private individuals. The complainants Madhuranagar Plot Owners Welfare Association have accused Kumar of transferring ownership rights and changing revenue records in the Dharani portal to benefit a builder.
