Hyderabad police arrests robber couple, receivers in Secunderabad
Secunderabad: A robber couple who robbed a hapless victim was arrested by the Lallaguda police. The police also arrested two receivers who bought the booty from the accused couple on Saturday.
The accused couple were identified as Nenavath Hari Naik and Vadde Laxmi alias Kavitha both living in Meerpet police station limits.
According to the police, the victim, identified as Boru Achamma,near Mahankali Temple Lane, at the Railway Mazdoor Union Office located within the Railway Loco-Shed area of North Lallaguda on last Saturday.
Meanwhile the robber couple Nenavath Hari Naik and Vadde Laxmi who were on prowl to for potential victims zeroed in on Achamma. Taking advantage of the lone victims, teh couple reportedly snatched gold and silver ornaments from the victim while threatening her with death and physically assaulting her by grabbing her neck. Following which they made away with the booty.
On credible information, the crime team of Lallaguda Police detected the robbery case and apprehended the suspected couple near Ragavendra Hotel, Nandanavanam Colony, Hasthinapuram under the limits of Meerpet PS . When interrogated they admitted their guilt in this offense. Later they revealed that the robbed items were sold to other Two Goldsmiths. Subsequently they arrested the two receivers Sanjay upadayay, and Mahavar Bajranglal Praveen Kumar. The police have recovered the stolen ornaments.
The arrest was made under the supervision of Dr.B.Bala Swamy Deputy Commissioner of Police, East Zone, Hyderabad city and under the Leadership of V.Jayapal Reddy, Asst. Commissioner of Police, Chilkalguda Division., Investigated by P.Karunakar Reddy, Inspector of Police and Assisted by Ch.Nagaraju, Detective Sub-Inspector and Crime teams of PS Lallaguda Rajeshekar, Sumanth, Sainath, PS Chilkalguda Jagdish, Naveen, Ganesh, Vinay and PS Warasiguda Galib, Venu. They will be rewarded suitably.
